2008 Stories to come .... September 9, MAR MENOR 5,600M
After a long longe summer without doing anything, according to the orders of my coach. I decided to touch the sea a little bit. But I didn't tanke into account that the body actually canges.

I decided to go to Murcia and cross this lovely sea. This time I traveled with 'The Travesenos' a gropu of guys who just swim open water competitions. We had a nice time eating too much and visiting the village.

On sunday we would arrive to the Nauctic Club quiet early and I had the chance to meet my old friends, oohs it's so good to see them all
... Rafa, José Luis, David, Mateo ... We would talkn about our summer and our shape, obviouldy mine wan't that good. David Meca arrived and the race started.

We had to swim sround 3km to and ilsand, circle it and come back, I wanted to go behind my friends but I couln'd, no strenght nor speed, my poor body .... well anyway I enjoyed the feeling of trying to swim hard as always but feeling that my body was not responding as usual! ..My god Aida! ..what have you done to me !!!!!! ...too much of Germany I thought!

Anyway! ... It was hard to approach the island, once I got there, completely alone, I went around it, but I would find big rocks on my way, that was scare mostly because there was no way to get out of them!

Ok so at last I could round the small island and I would go all the way back ..again, but it was tough, no one around me, my friends like 3 mins in front of my, my body trying to swim ...so ok I was concentrated on looking at some reference point but the Nautic Club was still far away ... little by little I would see it and finally I arrived, my god! I won't forget this race because it was so hard!

Nice chat at the end beautiful prizes and atmosphere!

June 16. TRAVESIA DE PINEDO.
This summer I started with TRAVESIA PINEDO 1500mts along Pinedo's beach, pretty close to Valencias' port. The water was quiet nice and the good thing is that women started before men, so I didn't have to 'fight' with the men who are natural beasts. Is not nice to get kcick and punches whilst swimming, we suppose to swim, and not to fight against each other, on top of that men use to hit either men, females or younger people !!!!
I arrived as the 1st woman, so that was nice as well. This is the first open water race organised by the Don Bosco Swimming Club, it was fantastic sharing some time with them. After the race we had a huge meal with paella included.

July 1st. TRAVESIA SOLIDARIA EL ALBIR
La Nucia Swimming Club organised a very nice race on behalf of mental  disabled society, so all the funds would go to that association, which is a really good cause to swim for. Im so happy with the orgenisers as my friend Jonas was part of them, because they had a great logistic. The would bring laptops and had several stands in order to plan the whole event: Organising swimmers, the numbers, plastic bags to put our stuff inside.  etc
Since the beginning I was swimming with José Luis Larrosa and we finished together just few meters away form the leading group. I had very good sensations and I think I my swiming was fast.
This time I was 1st woman as well and, here you have my big smile!

July 7th then I went to Capri, and the strory worth a different tag.

July 15th TRAVESIA SUECA

This was my first encounter with my swimming mates form Valencia, after Capri ..and my first meeting with the sea after such a difficult race. And there I was, just for a couple of km along the beach on Les Palmarets and El Perelló. I could meet all my friends, they were so sweet with me, asking about Capri, my experience, I heard several comments, well, it was nice to be on the valencian road again.

My time was really good but a gril was swimming behind me all the time and the last few meter she sprinted and she came out of the water firts, its ok, sometimes I think thats not fair, swimming behind the others, but ..ok ..I sawm well, very well.

July 21th Ebro RIVER, also with a special tag 15.7KM

July 22nd TRAVESIA VALENCIA PORT ...

The water in the America's cup Port as you could imagine, awful!!!...the organisation not really well, they missed my number but at the end they recognised me as the 1st, although they gave my prize to another girl, anyway .... I was not the only one afected by this.

Obvioulsy I few horus later I was acting like zoombie, too tired from the day before, and from the CAPRI-NAPOLI Party that my flatmates organised for me that evening, slpein 4 hrs...

July 29th PENISCOLA-BENICARLO 8.5 KM

This is my first time in thie event, the organisation fantastic, very well organised by the Bernicarló Swimming Club. Just few people over 50 swimmers. the organisaniser were so sweet with me. I sawm in the second group of swimmers and I must say that for 3/4 of the race I was the leader of the group, its ok for me, but, the others didn't make any move to relay me, even one of them was swimming really close to me and he was touching my toes and feet all the time, and sometimes he even swam above me. I kicked faster on him to say: ?stay away fro me' but he wouldn't apart. And I stopped once and told him, Pls do not swim above me! ..that I hate, it is no fair to take advantage out of other swimmers and be so selfish and not making any relay at all.

August 5th,2007 PORT DELS ALFACS, 4. MILES, CATALUNYA

i couldn't sswm during the week, I had Noea Petti as a visitor at home and I had to do so much work on my thesis, visiting some scientific at a research institute, that would drove me crazy, at the end it was rewarding. Anyway I went to this far and unknow port in Catalunya with Selina and Aida her coach and we swam.

A boat took us 4 nautic miles away from the port, we were no more tnah 60 swimmers and that ws really relaxing. The view was nice, we jumped from the boat and in few minutes the starting sgnal.

I dont know what really happened but the group was immediately divided I swam alone until I could find a guy with my same pace, we passed a yougn guy and we swam together until the young guy disappeared. Well No references but the normal buoys, that was not really good, because the port it self doesnt have any refrence at all!.
the supporting boeast were not very heplful mainly because they were motor boats! and few kayaks, luckyly we could drunk water form the motor boeat that was with the young guy but as soon and that guy disspapered so did the boeat, seo we were totally alone in the lonlely port.

We stepped few times to  discuss about the route. And just 500m after the finishing line a kayak came to show us the route... well ...
the organisation was ok, I would recommend to have more supporting kayakas ans motor boat dont help swimmers that much, they pollute the air, water and we have to inhale the diesel and CO2.
